Roger is an outdoor adventure and wildlife photographer based in Golden, British Columbia, Canada. Growing up in Revelstoke, his passion for photography ignited at an early age. With an insatiable curiosity and a love for exploration, Roger has made it his mission to discover and capture the world’s most remote and awe-inspiring places.
In addition to his 40-plus-year career as a professional ACMG/IMFGA Mountain Guide, Roger has become known for capturing powerful visual stories. His lens focuses primarily on mountain life, but his portfolio also includes breathtaking landscapes, captivating wildlife, and exhilarating action sports.
Roger’s work has graced the covers of numerous magazines, and his photography has been featured in several notable books, including The Selkirks, The Bugaboos, Place Names in the Canadian Alps, Summits and Secrets, and Canadian Summits. His talent has also been recognized by National Geographic, which featured his images in a promotional campaign.
Throughout his career, Roger worked extensively with Canadian Mountain Holidays, one of the pioneers of heli-skiing and mountain adventures. For 40-plus years, he was involved with Battle Abbey Backcountry Lodge an iconic mountain hut in the Selkirk mountains, a base for exploring and photographing the rugged beauty of British Columbia’s backcountry. As of April 2024, Roger has retired, transitioning to focus on personal projects and continued exploration through photography.
